Alright, let's just make it a "Name some good frontmen" thread. I like Chris Cornell, whoever said that one - that was good.

I like their earlier stuff a lot. And my opinion matters more.

How about Isaac Brock? Any Modest Mouse fans? He's not really your typical rocker, but... he's good.

The only issue I have with Isaac is how much he sucks live.

IMO he still is probably the best front man right now.

Scott Weiland

Funny, this is the first name that came to my head before I even opened this thread. He's definitely underrated - he doesn't have the stongest voice in the world, but he more than makes up for it in vocal creativity and flat-out effort.

One of the best concerts I have ever seen (out of well over 100) was STP at the Fleetcenter my junior year of college...must have been around November/December or 96 or so? Anyway, they had a second stage descend from the rafters, where they played an entire SICK acoustic set. F'n awesome show.

Some of their live recordings are great. When I saw them, he basically hid behind speakers the whole time. It was really weird. Also, the venue sucked ass.

That reminds me, Chris Cornell. He's probably not underrated either though...is any frontman of a mainstream group underrated?

[/ QUOTE ]

Chris Cornell is a good choice.

I've seen him a bunch of times, even in the ugly cassanova incarnation. It can be brutal if he is drinking.

Mark Lanegan of The Screaming Trees. Possibly the best rock singer of the 90s
