This isn't what happened. The flop came out ten high, Layne went all in, Doyle called. Layne flipped up his KT and Doyle Laughed and sighed. It wasn't too tough for Layne to figure he had something like K9 or QT.

He said "K9??" only after he saw Doyles reaction to his K10....Doyle cringed and laughed out loud....not too hard to guess his cards there.

Yeah, we all saw that on the World Poker Tour. But rehab or no rehab - dude was drunk. It's a shame all these gifted players are so cursed with demons.

KT vs K9 vs 66 from the 3rd guy.

Flop comes T9x, where x<4. Layne pushes all in immediately, Doyle calls immediately, 66 guy folds. Layne flips over KT. Doyle sees it and laughs because Layne had the worst possible likely hand, slightly higher pair with shared overcard kicker. Layne calls K9 before it is flipped over. Good read, but considering the chips were all in and Doyle wasn't trying to hide anything...it wasn't genius...and its the only hand that Doyle makes that laugh/look with.

Oh, and Doyle caught a 3rd 9 on the turn to take Layne out.

The hand I thought was rather strange was this one: Doyle has 321k before the hand, Layne has 342k. Layne raises to 50k with AQ, Doyle makes it 150k to go. Now, I suppose it's easy for me to say when I can see the hole cards, but why else would you put in half your stack here unless you were trapping with a monster? But Layne goes all in without hesitation and Doyle calls and turns over KK.

I saw him drinking on the show through a straw. I didn't see if it was pop or anything, though. Doubtful.
