I've never been a Mercedes fan for some reason. Too boring for the money, IMO.

I just think the boxster is kinda lame.

it is. fwiw, i like the escort idea. that is, only if the residual will be used on hookers and beer. automobiles are a horribly inefficient way to spend money, especially cash money. the only value a 60k car has is as an extension of ones ego. if this is the case, i suggest moving someplace where people dont care what kind of car u drive.

I was always a fan of the BMW 330ci coupe. I dont own one, but Ive always had a soft spot for them.

those cars are extra ragged. the maintainence on BMW's is unreal. plus shop time is like 150 bucks an hour....do yourself a favor and do not buy this car.

I have driven almost every single car in this thread, and I would get the Lotus Elise. 0-60 in under 5, and handles amazingly well. The styling might be a bit aggressive for some, but I really like it.

Edited for more info

I would personally get the newest, lowest mileage Supra TT that I could find. After I found one that I liked, drop some of the money that I saved and get some basic performance upgrades for it along with some good looking wheels. You could get some aero parts for it as well, and still be around/under budget.

M3, C6, C5 Z06, modded G35/350z all fit the bill as well.
