NOOB to Software..... Just need to know where to Read

Hey Guys,

I am new to this forum and I have seen a lot of talk about PokerTracker and other programs. I always see a series of numbers like x/x/x and they mean nothing to me. I am very intereseted in learning about all the software available for different sites.

As I said I am a noob to this stuff, so I was wondering if there is a thread somewhere with a COMPLETE description that includes the shorthand notation explantions and all that jazz.

First, the numbers.

X/Y/Z

X = Voluntarily Put $ In Pot
Y = Preflop Raise
Z = Total Postflop Aggression

The majority of people here use PokerTracker. You feed it your hand histories and it gives you a ton of statistical information you can use to analyze your own play or those of your opponents. More info here:

There are several Heads Up Displays for PokerTracker. These applications take the statistics that PokerTracker computes and displays them directly on the poker windows as you play.

Seeing as I am a developer of one of these applications and it has recently gone commercial, I am not able to directly post a link here. However, feel free to view my profile to get a link to the website.

I will let others discuss these Heads Up Displays so you don't get a biased opinion.

Thanks for a little explanation. I understand about your reluctance to elaborate, but if anyone else would please help me by explaining how these numbers can be adventageous to know and just any other little pointers.

If there is already a thread with all the info for an idiot please let me know.
