Default Local Radio Stations broadcast on the internet

In London, we have capitalfm.. www.capitalfm.com This is great entertainment, and its what i usually listen to during the evening/night/morning

Lately I have been getting bored with it, and would like to appreciate different localities radio stations... preferably in the US

OOT recommendations gratefully recieved. Help me out OOT!

oh.. in the UK, the radio stations report on that specific area, and play different varieties of music.

I was hoping that there might be something like a los angeles radio, which reports on the latest news in LA, things happening on the social scene etc, and then randomly playing music.

I dont really want to just listen to music, as I can fire up my MP3 folder for that

sorry for the confusion

KEXP.org in seattle does this, but pretty much play music with not a lot of talking.

thanks.. this is the kinda thing I am looking for.

If any other OOT's can recommend this kind of thing for other areas of the states, that would be much appreciated.
