Threaded or Flat
I was going to post this in one of the other forums, but this one just felt like home.
How do you like to view posts? |

Re: Threaded or Flat
Didn't have an option that fit my response so no vote entered...
I like both depending on the thread... certainly wouldn't want to view your custom suits or Ten's chips thread flat just to see a few replies I view them threaded but usually immediately click flat for posts I viewing the first time (then threaded after that)... the time saved for the larger posts keeps me on the threaded default. - Fins |

Re: Threaded or Flat
Holy crap threaded mode is the most annoying thing I've encountered on all the forums that I've browsed.

Re: Threaded or Flat
Flat is great for just checking the latest posts
Threaded is great when people actually add new subject and you are sifting through a looooon line of posts |

Re: Threaded or Flat
It's funny because for several months I read the forums w/o being a member and never realized that there was any choice but the threaded . WOW! I used to get so frustrated trying to open every thread in a post with 40 replies. Those were good times.
Naturally then my vote goes for flat |

Re: Threaded or Flat
Flat all the way.
Like someone else said, I wouldn't go to this forum if I couldn't switch it to flat. What would be nice is if the owners switched to VBulletin forum software. It has a lot more features and is much easier to use in my opinion. For instance, you can subscribe by email to certain threads. You can check it out an example here. |

Re: Threaded or Flat
There's a lot of forum systems that are superior to this one. But I'm sure the admins are aware of that. Switching forums can be a very painful process, especially trying to preserve all the great content stored here. I sympathize with the admins.
