Default About as bad as they get

This one really amazed me. Preflop is a multitabling goofy misclick.

Party Poker 5/10 Hold'em (6 max, 4 handed) pokerhand.org hand converter

Preflop: Hero is SB with A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], J[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img].
1 fold, Button calls, Hero completes, BB checks.

Flop: (3 SB) A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], J[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], J[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (3 players)
Hero checks, BB checks, Button bets, Hero calls, BB calls.

Turn: (3 BB) K[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (3 players)
Hero checks, BB checks, Button bets, Hero raises, BB folds, Button calls.

River: (7 BB) K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (2 players)
Hero bets, Button raises, Hero calls.

Final Pot: 11 BB

Results below:
Button has Td Kd (full house, kings full of jacks).
Hero has Ad Jh (full house, jacks full of aces).
Outcome: Button wins 11 BB.

Board: As Jd Js
Dead:

equity (%) win (%) tie (%)
Hand 1: 99.5960 % 99.60% 00.00% { AdJh }
Hand 2: 00.4040 % 00.40% 00.00% { KdTd }

I initally thought he ws drawing dead to runnung kings but felt better when I realized that he could catch the Qd and 9d to make a straight flush.

You played the flop terribly too. It ain't a bad beat when you slowplay.

i.e. You have to look at the odds when you first raised your hand.

This same situation happened to me in a tournament, except my opponent didn't have a straight flush draw. We went all-in on the flop. I went all-in and he slightly had me covered. It was a significant sized bet as well.

0.4% huh? About what I figured.

I'm pretty sure this is one of the few times where slowplaying is easily the best thing to do. He flops a monster and his opponent catching him happens once every two hundred hands.

Yes. But the times that the turn gets checked through and they fold to your river bet...
