Seat draws at the WSOP
From Richard Brodie's blog:
"There was a brouhaha at the next table because Todd Brunson and Doyle Brunson were seated next to each other. I recalled that at the World Poker Tour event in the Bahamas they had seated the tables alphabetically and wondered if they had done the unthinkable here and repeated that fiasco. I asked everyone at the table to raise his hand if his last name didn't begin with B. No hands went up. In fact, we were all B-R." Can anyone confirm this, and are they planning to fix this before the main event? |

Re: Seat draws at the WSOP
Phil Gordon mentioned it in his podcast. He was seated with Clonie Gowen and Barry Greenstein. He joked that the Nguyens were screwed.

Hmmm....
The "Fluffs" family of 10, all made it to the final 2 tables because for some mysterious reason their table never broke... |

Re: Seat draws at the WSOP
They've been changing seating methodologies from event to event.

Re: Seat draws at the WSOP
A side question:
How good is Todd Brunson? I've only heard about the folklore, his 13 million dollar victory heads-up versus another guy over a 2 day period. Is he a bigger cash game player? I haven't heard much about him from any tourneys. |
