Default internet makes me tilt

Everytime I play internet poker, I get really frustrated and the anger builds until I start playing on tilt. That is really bad, because I hardly ever tilt, ever.
After a while, I feel like, no matter what hands I play or how I play them I will lose. I keep tightening up and tightening up and eventually I find myself looking for the stone cold nuts all the time. I dont know. Maybe the speed of it bombards my brain with too many suckouts in a short period of time. Maybe at the casino I have plenty of time to cool down. But on the internet, they just keep a coming.
I'm not saying its rigged. I'm just saying I dont enjoy playing at home. The rake and convenience are nice, but after a while, I feel like a real sicko or an internet poker junkie, all frazzled and beat up.
Some things I do notice, though, which bother me.

People seem to get dealt alot of top ten hands, especially in tournaments. All kinds of big pairs and high suited connectors. Maybe it's just the speed of it all I'm not used to. But it seems like the quality of starters is better, at least in the beginning of tournaments.

People seem to lose more on these top ten hands, especially when they go all-in on them.
Everytime like 3 or 4 people go all-in before the flop, theres always one idiot with a garbage hand and he wins quite a bit with it.
I find myself coming in 1 out of the money quite a bit.
I always get these big blind hands that sort of force me to get my chips in there and then I usually lose with these hands.
My medium pocket pairs get beat by Ax alot.
Seems like everytime I have QQ someone has AK.

I guess i'm just looking at the bad side.
Probably thats just the way poker goes.

The real truth of it all is- I am playing with 9 other opponents. More likely someone will have a decent top ten hand every round, whereas I might not see this type of hand for many rounds.

AK vs QQ is 50/50 just about. 50/50 can create some large ass swings. Ever watch a roulette wheel? It can come red like 10 times in a row. If you happen to be on the down side of these 50/50 battles alot, it can seem a lot less than 50/50 from your perspective.

88 is only a 2/1 favorite over A3. It's not like it's 9 to 1.

The truth about tournaments, especially sitngoes, is that the blinds go up relatively fast compared to your stack size. Either you get lucky early or if dont you will be hardpressed to pick up a a hand which isnt going to be that largely favored over even a random hand. AK is only about 2 1/2 to 1 over J8. If two guys call your all-in, you will find yourself losing the hand and being out of the tournament like 60% of the time.

And I guess players and just getting better these days. Internet players tend to be more computer science orientated and have bigger edges on the game. It is hard to beat a table of players all trying super hard to make a score, whether you get a good run of cards or not.

Still internet poker makes me tilt. I love it and I hate it. I guess the real question, is, do I trust it?

No offense but I know you have nothing to compain about. If you'd like, I can post some hands from the last couple of days that would make any "suck outs" you've experienced look like nothing both in terms of both money and severity.

Just gain some more experience, I assure you'll be fine in the long run.

Play more games or do something else to take your mind off the one game you're playing...read email, read the news online, whatever.

While we all tilt to some extent, i have recently noticed that i play much better poker when i multitable. no time for tilting or trying to get REVENGE against that one guy that hit an ace against your KK.

You can never eliminate tilting from your game, but you there are things to do to minimize its effects.

Playing online doesn't make me tilt, but I'm the same way with the anger/frustration you described in your post. The only reason I play online still is to keep sharp during the times I can't make it to a casino to play live. The money isn't the issue for me but I'm not sure what really is. I'm up overall online but it seems to bother me more when I have a losing session online than live. I think its just the fact that I can't put a face to the online players like I can in live play. That way its easier for me to laugh it off after they catch their miracles or maybe its just the lack of cocktail waitresses in my room.....
