btw if people would just read my above post and actually listen to it, they might have a chance to completely dominate the sit and gos. However Ive posted similar stuff over and over and I see so many push/fold questions attempted to be solved without any math whatsoever being used. It's really ridiculous.

FWIW pushing is extremely bad when you enter it into SNGPT with reasonable calling ranges for your opponents. It's also quite bad with 100-200 blinds, but probably correct on 150-300 blinds, although even then its close.

Okay, my nose has been hit with the newspaper and I'm back in the corner. Keep in mind that I openly stated that pushing would be -EV but 'toyed with the idea in my head' that there might be other considerations that would justify it. Safe to say that my idea sucks.

But I'm not a lazy, no math guy. Lazy yes, but that's because I am a government employee.

My rant wasnt directed towards you, dont worry. Just about the spot where people discuss such ideas without just using the calculator which so often tells you the right answer.

What calling ranges do you give your opponents? I gave the BB loose and everyone else average, and then it is a push with blinds 100/200. Do you really think the bigstack looks you up with A4o?

I get -.2% EV for that Madd, but at least you are trying! Either that or I am entering something wrong. I get only breakeven when I give them all the 66+, ATs+, AJo+ range, including the big stack. Its possible that against the right field pushing may be very small EV, but most of the time I'm not taking my chances.

How did you arrive at your +EV conclusion?

I think Madd was calculating for 100/200 and you are calculating from 75/150 blinds. Looks like a pretty clear push with same stack sizes and 100/200 blinds. What surprised me is whether its suited can add as much as 0.3%-.5% $EV

I dont get it? Im calculating for 100-200. Playing a set of 10 right now, Ill try to figure out what the problem is. Suitedness is huge difference btw in close situations. Note that Im on my laptop and may have some settings messed up...I think I have an old version of SNGPT. Is your equity modeling stuff on or off?

Yeah those boxes suck IMO. They often give very bad results. I dont know what their affect would be in this situation though.
