Default Going for their whole stack

Villian is an aggressive bettor, but he definitely has something big here. I've seen him bluff, and this is not his betting pattern for a bluff. A set is highly likely, I don't think he limps Qx UTG. 78 is out there as well, but I don't know if he raises that again on the turn, so a set seems like the only real option.

If I hit the river I'm pushing.

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $1.00 BB (6 handed) FTR converter on zerodivide.cx

saw flop|<font color="#C00000">saw showdown</font>

Hero ($110.60)
UTG ($124.20)
MP ($82.95)
CO ($41.20)
Button ($27.50)
SB ($39.85)

Preflop: Hero is BB with 5[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]. CO posts a blind of $1.50.
UTG calls $1, MP calls $1, CO (poster) checks, Button calls $1, <font color="#666666">1 fold</font>, Hero checks.

Flop: ($6) 7[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 8[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], Q[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(5 players)</font>
<font color="#CC3333">Hero bets $4</font>, <font color="#CC3333">UTG raises to $10</font>, MP folds, CO folds, Button folds, Hero calls $6.

Turn: ($26) 9[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(2 players)</font>
<font color="#CC3333">Hero bets $10</font>, <font color="#CC3333">UTG raises to $30</font>, Hero calls $20.

River: ($86) A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(2 players)</font>
Hero checks, <font color="#CC3333">UTG bets $40</font>, Hero folds.

Final Pot: $126

Yeah I hate the turn. Good river fold though.

Which part do you hate? Do you lead for a real bet? Check/call or check/fold depending on how much he bets?

I check the turn and most likely call depending on his bet size

Its not weak tight, its good poker. How often is the lead turn respected by bad players? Like never, thats why we use it with big hands. Just c/c turn. If he raised to 10 on flop (only 6 more) then he will prob bet like 1/3-1/2 pot on turn. Just check and see what he does.

Thats not weak/tight thats smart poker, if your not going to get paid off enough to make your hand +ev, whats the point in playing it?

Why is playing to get the right price for a draw weak tight? On the turn, I would have checked and then either called or folded depending on the price I was getting.

Ya, with CR being the worst option at this level. I like the river fold too.
