neteller closed my account?

i just cashed out 10 grand from partypoker and i tried to log onto my neteller account and it said that it was closed, i called the number and they said its closed but they dont know why and i have to email investigations or call back durring business hours to find out

has this happened to anyone else?

does anyone know why they would just close an account without contacting me and then somehow not know why its closed?

should i be worried about the money i just cashed out?

i mean seriously i think this is rediculous that they cant give me an answer over the phone

It could be a number of things, but as long as you've done nothing wrong your money will be fine

Have you transfered money from a friend on the same computer? Did you log in from a public IP address. These are reasons for locking it until they investigate.

no to the first question, im using my computer but its on my college's network, im not sure if that would be a public IP address or not

why wouldnt they contact me to tell me its closed?

They froze mine when I logged in from Canada; they told me this was standard procedure.

The "business hours" thing sounds a bit unusual tho - I called them at app. 8pm and got it straightened out almost immediately.

If you did nothing wrong your money is safe in their hands.

If you commited a half dozen major felonies your money is safe in their hands.

You're biggest - and probably only - worry is how to deposit/withdraw until you get it straightened out.

Suggestion: Be really polite when you do speak with them.

Yea, there have been alot of threads, but your money is pretty safe there from my experience.

You cant withdraw from party to firepay though, which is huge.

ok, i just got off the phone with neteller and they said that my account was closed because it was linked to another account with similar information, they could not give me details, but they pretty much implied that they thought i was my brother and signed up for this account under a new name, they asked me a couple questions about whether i had older accounts under a different first name and the same last name, and i told them it was probably my brother, then they asked me a few questions about whether other people had access to my computer and i said no, the details i could get for why my account was closed were very sketchy, but they have reopend it for now and my money should be fine

I had the same problem when I transferred money to my brothers Neteller account. Im not sure why thats not allowed, but it was cleared up and everything is fine.
