The post is only 4 hours old. I think there's room for a lot more discussion on this hand. We certainly haven't come to a concensus yet.

I think a J or a 6 on the river is just about as horrible as a 4 or a 9 considering the flat calls from MP1 & MP2.

yeah no kidding, lots of draws out there, im sure one of them holds a 6, maybe T9 is out there

i highly doubt anyone checks a higher set from the last two positions, especially on a board that can very easily 4-straight

id consider pushing the turn, even though it looks like you have a monster (which you do) that missed check-raising the flop

river i bet and fold to a raise, grudgingly

An 8 is undeniably and ugly card as is a 7, 9, 4 or even J or 6 considering the turn action. I think an A is somewhat better as I'd consider MP1 & MP2 more likely to have 87s than A8 or A7.

I think you need to reraise the turn, to blast out the draws. Make it 2k to go. MP1 is the only one you need to worry about in that case, the other two guys will be allin.

MP1 is also the person with the scariest action

i think we need to try harder to put people on hands, this is really hard imo

i would say MP1 was trying to check raise MP2, and has a monster, and sadly this is the person that risks your stack

raise 2k and fold to a push, what when MP1 cold calls, what then, youre just getting yourself stuck if beat, youre going to check fold the river, block bet?

id prefer a call of the $250 and then hopefully get a decent river. i dont like the risk reward here.

I really wish I had my stats in front of me but won't be at home until tomorrow. Will it help if I give villian's party names? Can/should I do that?

I hate playing so passively on a draw-heavy board.

I agree it's ticklish if MP1 calls. But he had a chance to 3-bet the turn on this draw-heavy board and passed it up. So in the absence of reads I'm going to call that weakness. Or the nuts ;-)

If you raise to 2k, and he pushes for 4k, you are now getting almost 4-1 to call.

If we know his range of hands is 88, 77, 64s, 64o, 96o and 96s, we still win 19.5% of the time, so we have to be 100% sure he doesn't have 2 pair if we are going to fold this.
