Default Good spot for a re-steal or not? Help

I didn't have a read that he was the type to fold to a re-raise because no one had raised him after he raised yet. But he was opening more pots than anyone else at the table. And I hadn't played a hand in probably 2-3 orbits. Anyone never make a play like this? Anyone make it often even without an extremely strong read? If it matters blinds were going to 150/300 within the next few hands.. about 80 left and 40th is ITM.

offhand i dont really think your stack is the right size for this. if you stack was a little bigger, say 5000-5500, you could reraise to 1500 or so, and i find that often takes it down right there. if you stack was smaller, say 2500, the all-in makes more sense. you are kind of in the middle here, where i think resteals aren't your main priority.

Actually i think raising to 1300-1400 could be done with your stack, while still folding to an all-in reraise.

I think your stack size was right in the range where you're looking to not get involved in pots like these with an M of (soon to be) 10 and about what 12xBB of 300 in the next few hands. I'd look for a better opportunity to pop him, either that or I'd probably just call and raise him on the flop - use the power of position and see a flop and how he reacts to it before you decide to stick him.

BTW I think I was at a table with you on a 10+1 at party tonight.
