Default The Hanso Foundation (Possible LOSTspoilers)

Just finished going through their "website" @ www.thehansofoundation.org

The Hanso Life-Extension Project
(is this what desmond is shooting himself with?)

The Hanso Foundation Electromagnetic Research Initiative
(the original reason for the concrete?)

The Hanso Quest for Extra-Terrestrial Intelligence
(the smokey thing they blew up at the end of season 1)

The Hanso Mathematical Forecasting Initiative
(the numbers?)

The Hanso Cryogenics Development Imperative
(Not sure)

The Hanso Juxtapositional Eugenics Development Institute
(umm, is this a homage to Star Wars? J-E-D-I? There is a lot of star wars stuff thrown into this show. Hanso = Han Solo...Jin being called chewie)

anyways, what i read was this could be the reason for the others..

The Hanso Accelerated Remote Viewing Training Facility
(the whispers and those visions?)

I guess we can finally throw out the case that they are all in some sort of purgatory...

And just to throw it in, after watching that video "the orientation video" I'm with Jack's character in thinking that its all an experiement to see how long one can push a button but then again.....

never have i been so addicted to such a show

I always assumed the stuff Desmond was shooting himself with was an antidote or something similar to protect him from whatever "sickness" the people from the back of the plane were talking about.

Also, what has developed of that big monster/machine thing which killed the pilot waaay back in the beginning of season 1. Is that the same thing as the polar bear thing but bigger? I recall someone or something saying that it ate metal or something. It was big in the first 5 episodes but has faded away. Either way, the show had better start divulging real stuff soon, even just a little bit. I know a main character died in the last episode, but she was pretty useless plotwise and nothing about the island/science project was explained.

I heard a theory that these are people specifically picked and put on the plane for a specific reason. The Hanso Co. conducts experiments and this group is their present experiment group. The people they keep finding that are dead are from previous experiment groups. Apparently the Canadian promo said they found a weird list with everyones name on it.
If you go to www.oceanicflight815.com and click on theory board on the bottom, it gives you a bunch of thought theories.

Default possible creature?

is it possible the "The Hanso Cryogenics Development Imperative" is the reason for the creature...and is it possible the creature is a invisible t-rex type of thing?

remember when Locke told hurley to stand still and it passed them on their way to the black rock?

i do remember that, there was also the bit where the hole opened up in the ground and they threw the dynamite down...

and theres also the thing where locke magically regained use of the legs.

also, if one more person tells me "OMG its like teh John Looke from the books and [censored]!" I am going to stab them. no jury would ever convict me.

spoiler in a spoiler thread. skip this post if you don't want to the rumors ive heard on the lost story. kinda wish i hadnt heard this.

one theory ive heard which seems to be making the rounds a lot is that theyre all part of a nazi experiment. this rumor has been going aruond for a bit.

however the unique piece ive heard is that all of the people on the island were born on the island and have had their past memories of lives previous to comning to the island implanted. no plane crash. it's just a social experiment to see how the people would react.

This theory is way to stupid and would never air on network tv.

Move along.

haha, ok mr spelling. why don't you think it would air? i think the nazi piece is pretty solid. it's the second one that im not entirely certain about but it seems to make sense and fit most of the puzzle.

I like the idea that the island is some sort of purgatory. And obviously the boy has some sort of magical powers, way to much stuff revolves around him for him not to.

I did too, but with all this scientific mumbo jumbo going on i dont think this theory holds weight. Also, the writers have come out AGAINST this possibility.
