nh. You're a little light PF for me, but I only steal about 1/3 of the time.

What hand range do you put villian on? What's your plan on the river?

Are you hoping to get a better hand to fold here? I doubt any A or K is folding; I think you're pretty far behind both (2:1 or so) - I take my free card on the turn...you paid enough on the flop for it.

EDIT: Are there other metagame considerations that I am missing with your play here?

I was motivated by "Enti_t vs. jason_t" in the Nov. goals thread.

I'm betting the turn for value (and probably taking a free showdown UI).

None that I was considering at the time. Read my other posts and you'll see that I don't really need to do anything extra to "play myself up" as a LAG!

I probably wouldn't go for a steal here with 82s, but thats just me. I like the turn bet, because to me, it feels like hes going to fold. If it went check-bet-call on the flop, I would be morelikely to check behind on the turn. But since you 3-bet the flop I think it's important to continue on the turn because a lot of TAGs are dropping a K here.

This can't be a bet for value. You're ahead here very seldom - you're about 2:1 dog against any A, any K, or any oddly played pocket pair above your 8s. You're also setting yourself up to be donkey-punch-check-raised.

So, I stand by my statement that you paid enough for that free card, take it.

He definately doesn't have the best hand but I still like the turn bet. I think that a TAG WILL drop a weaker king here because you showed him you mean business on the flop. If you plan on calling a river bet, just bet the turn and hope he folds.
