I think he probably knows it's Ghostbusters but he just named it "Casper"

I can't believe Lederer paid $3500 for that thing

Hmm lets see...

First of all if Doyle died today, Howard could resell the thing for 10K + if he really wanted to.

Secondly he is purchasing a piece of poker history, a game which has yielded him millions of dollars in profit, this is nowhere near as bad as dropping 500$ on a F'ing beanie baby.

Thirdly, perhaps he wanted to retain an item that belonged to one of his mentors. A man that he clearly respects and has a friendship with outside of poker.

To think that this is a silly purchase is just ridiculous.

PS - its obviously a ghostbuster image, do you think no one has ever pointed this out at a poker table??? Doyle probably knew it already anyway. He is a badass and knows he can call the thing whatever the hell he wants.

Anyone have a picture of it? Google image search turned up nothing, and it would make a neat avatar.

Did you ever think it might be because Doyle uses this 'charm' to cheat. Why would he call it 'ghostbusters'.Thats a red flag! He might as well call it 'my ghostbuster logo cheating device.
What about Amarillo Slim? Someone tell the story about How he broke his niece's kneecaps for insurance money. I know he did it with a hammer while her father held her down. I know she walks with a limp for the rest of her life. I know they did it because she was in a car wreck that didn't really hurt her. But I feel like I'm missing some details...

Ghostbusters is my favorite movie of all time. And I like poker, smoking and good luck. I think all of that makes it worth around 3.5K.

The "Casper" name relates somehow to his dog. He has a poodle named Casper.
