[ QUOTE ]
I think good Why didn't you raise pre-flop? [/ QUOTE ] Because, in spite of a probable equity advantage things are going to change greatly one way or the other on the flop and I'm out of position against 4 players. Since I'm already in I'm content to see a flop and then decide how to best protect (or get value from) my hand in what's already getting to be a decent-sized pot. Basically, not raising PF leaves me the option to checkraise the flop if I so choose. On this flop, with the board paired, a 2-flush, and likely the best hand I thought leading out with what is probably large equity advantage was the best way to go. |

What was your plan if the turn card wasn't so helpful? [/ QUOTE ] HU - check/call the turn; bet/fold the river. I'm not losing that much if he checks behind with a flush draw. Even so, I'm not too worried about him checking behind because it's HU and most players will bet that flush draw again hoping to fold me out. I want to get one BB in on each of the turn and river but I think I can safely fold most river cards if he raises. |

Re: Stop\'N\'Go
I've started to raise this preflop, and I think you should too.

Re: Stop\'N\'Go
i guess i will go against the grain here and disagree.
according to poker stove, your gonna win this hand a third of the time against 3 other 25vpip players. unless you hate money, raise. this raise is profitable (and dont think you give up the option to check raise because you raised preflop) i really dont think your opponent has a 6. i dont think that many players would raise a 6 on the flop and force ppl out of the hand. he either has a flsuh draw or an ace most of the time. why not 3 bet the flop? i run my share of stop and go's. they are highly effective in the right situations. but normally i run them when i am weak. i can fold to a raise (assuming my opponent is not a lag). and unless he is a calling station he will need a hand to call my bet. (stopngo;s work very well against tags, it puts them in a bad spot). when you lead this turn, he will fold weaker hands that he may bluff with. i think since you played the flop the way you did, you should now go for a check raise. he will bet a 6 or a flush draw. |

Re: Stop\'N\'Go
you stated that you are really not losing that much if he has aflush draw and check through on the turn.
i have to disagree again. this is why i say to 3 bet the flop and lead the turn. |
