Party Poker 3/6 Hold'em (10 handed) converter

Preflop: Hero is SB with T[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], T[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img].

Flop: (9 SB) T[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], Q[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (4 players)
Hero bets, MP2 calls, MP3 folds, CO calls.

Turn: (6 BB) 9[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (3 players)

River: (14 BB) 6[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (2 players)
Hero checks, MP2 bets, Hero calls.

Final Pot: 16 BB My question is if their is any reason not to three bet the turn. I mean the cap pretty much indicates his hand

standard. sux if he had the straight, but you gotta 3-bet that turn, call for full house and make the sanity call on the river.

Easy 3-bet, there are lot of hands you beat that raise here. Hand seems pretty standard to me.

you could accidentally hit the call button. that's the only way, though.

A shooting star could come through the ceiling and hit the mouse clicking the call button.

You could fold the river but I'm not good enough to do it.

There are some factors that would make me uncomfortable when I got raised on the turn:

(1) Party 3/6 is a trappy game, and MP2's relative position to you is going to make him want to just call the flop all that much more.

(2) KJ is 16 combos, which is more than any individual two-pair hand (Q9 is 9 combos; T9 is 3 combos). Also, KJ is a fairly popular hand and also one that a Party 3/6 player would be more inclined to open-limp from MP2 than, say, AQ.

(3) I don't think most 3/6 players would be quick to semibluff-raise the turn versus a PFR with a hand like QJ on that board.

(4) MP2 might have raised a hand like A9 (9 combos) on the flop (though I'm not assuming that he would).

And, having said all that, I would have played the hand the exact same way you did. Sometimes, when you're playing aggressive poker, you just end up walking into your opponent's trap and letting him feel clever.

Grandma could have a stroke during her lunch and you'd time out while trying to pull her out of her soup.
