I do this about once a year, just to clean things out. And prove I can do it, I guess. Unless you're talking about quitting for years or something like that, you should set a goal. Like Halloween might work, almost two whole months.

Drank too much last night? I've given up alcohol a lot of mornings.

The better question is why?

The capper was one Sunday morning when I woke up and couldn't remember where I parked my car. Finally found it after searching the streets of my neighborhood for about an hour. Decided to give it a rest and 1 week stretched to a month and somehow 11 years. My abstinence came to a crashing end 2 years ago in the Dominican Republic. Great place to rediscover the joys of drinking.

I quit for almost 5 years now.
I quit because I felt I acted like a loser whenever I was drinking.
Most of my old friends think I act like a loser now that I don't drink they want the party man back.
These people were not really my friends.
Prepare for life to become very boring, very easy but boring.
It's like switching to a black and white TV.
You are going to find out how many friends you have the good ones won't care that you quit.

Edit: This post so sounds sad. Just wanted to add that I don't regret one drink I ever had those were good times. But times change and these times are just as good imo. And I get to remember these clearer.
