What games do you most often play? And, what have you already read?

Re: If you had to choose
well i just got ace on the river - so i guess i'll have to figure out what to get next. as far as what i've read:
TOP HEFAP SSH WLLH GSIH HOH1 HOH2 TPFAP ITH I have, but have not read: SS1 Inside the poker mind Poker Psychology by Dr. Alan S. i'm also thinking mcevoy's tournament hand quizes and book might be a good purchase as well. i'd like to read all the 2+2 ones, but would like to learn stud or omaha next. |

Re: If you had to choose
I have all four books. 7CSFAP is the best book on stud..well written, has lots of detail, and will definitely help your game. Likewise, Middle Limit Holdem is an extremely solid book, with over 400 problems, as well as a lot of good material. It is a must have if you play 5/10 online or 10/20 B&M or higher (but it can help you for lower limits too). Ace on the River is another must have, but if you can only get one book at a time, I'd wait a bit before I got this one. PL & NL Poker is a decent book, but it lacks depth as it covers so many gametypes. It does not have as much info in it as say 7CSFAP or MLHE.
PM me if you have any questions about the books. ~Marc Edit: Didn't see you already had AOTR. For Omaha, I'd wait until Bob Ciaffonne (sp?) rereleases Omaha Holdem Poker in September. I'd also stay away from McEvoys books. |

[/ QUOTE ] thanks marc - i really appreciate the thoughtful reviews - i think i'll start with stud and then go to middle limit - thanks for the heads up on the mcevoy books. i try to stick with 2+2 - so i'll wait for HOH3 with all the hand problems. |

Re: If you had to choose
Here's a good review. Buy all the books and get a new wife. I would not tolerate that crap, but that's just me.
