I would bet, 3-bet the flop. Then I would call down if capped, depending on number of players left in the hand fold the river unimproved but probably call it HU, maybe 3w.

Big pot, BB bought you the button, you have some outs - what's not to like? There is no way you can profitably present overcards with 2 BB given your relative position (if BB has them, he calls your bet, and if he has AA, you are protecting his hand by leading).

You and your buddy could write the book on playing these hands.

That's a very good turn card and I feel like I sometimes gaybet there but I'm not sure what compels me to do so, to be honest.

If hero bets flop and is raised, does he then call down if turn and river aren't scary? Assuming this gets it heads up.

Hero has a gutshot in addition to possibly having the best hand.

Default Results, Thoughts

BB had AK, MP had 33 and my hand was good.

The part where I played this hand badly was the turn, I thought. I think I should check-raise here. Check-raising the turn when the 6 comes is scary because I will be check-raising two players, so it will look like I flopped a set or have some other sort of monster. I may not even get 3-bet by an overpair by the BB if I go the check-raise route. I may get the BB or MP to fold overcards for fear they are drawing dead which is huge for me. Donk-betting, while it ensures I charge the BB and MP to draw, will be unlikely to make them fold overcards. If the BB does 3-bet me, well I have outs and odds to draw to them and can easily fold for one more on the river. If my relative position wasn't so bad in terms of hand protection this hand would be a hell of a lot easier to play-- but since I'm stuck where I am going for the scary turn check-raise is probably my best chance at folding out overcards.

Assuming you make the turn checkraise, whats your plan if called? Are you betting the river, or check/folding?

Definitely in that case and possibly in others too.
