No no, that becomes the new BB so everyone has to match or raise it. And the strategy is just normal poker strategy but with the new conditions. So there is now more dead money in the pot and there are more people who get a 'discount' with their hands to see the flop. So if you raise, it should be more and you shouldn't play implied odds hands since you have to pay more to see the flop but you should raise to isolate with your premium hands. The biggest difference in the play is usually just the fact that the stradler is there to GAMBOOOOOOOOL and will therefore play very unpredictably both pre- and post-flop. And, yes, it only happens live. Some casinos allow it (yeah, Foxwoods) and some don't. Most homegames thoroughly enjoy it, though!

Now the table has to call the staddle bet ($4) and if anybody calls then the straddler has the last preflop action.

[ QUOTE ]

I make it 115 with 99 with about 500 behind. Totally wrong?

[/ QUOTE ]

Based purely on your reads, it seems like a good move. 99 is a favorite against the range of hands you put the random player on and the big stack will only play if he has a very good hand.

Aside: I find it really funny (and stupid) when a short stack (<50BB) straddles (or restraddles)....

Default I thought the river street game was bye-bye

The river street game is still going?

This really burns my arse since I've been banned for TAG play.

Please somebody give Greg a wet willy for me.
