Default General Absolute Poker Questions

What do you guys think of that site? I was thinking about doing the neteller deposit bonus and I would have to be there for a while to clear it. Is it worth it? How does the bonus clearnance speed compare to other sites? Any other general info would be nice. Thanks.

p.s. I tried searching and did not get much.

Hello. I play there at the .5/1 levels and generally it takes me 250 hands to clear $10 in bonus. I 2 table so this would take 2 hours total time at two tables. I personally do not mind the software at all and have only been disconnected a couple of times in a very long time playing. There is at least one reload bonus per week and usually two lately.

Regarding support, I have always had a good response within 1 hour of sending my question in. Only downsides are that there seems to be no function whereby you can automatically download hand histories to your computer (you have to request these by email). In addition I can not get the hand convertor to work for the life of me with AP's hand histories....can anyone help here??

At 1/2 over 3/4's of hands are raked as a general rule, so the bonus clears quickly. The games are quite tight however.

Why keep the money there? Deposit, wait 48hrs and withdraw what you don't need for playing. It doesn't effect the bonus (which clears in $10 chuncks every 100 raked hands - a $5 pot).

If you play .50/1 NL and 3 table the bonus clears at a bit over $10/hr. 1/2 limit and 3 tables is about the same rate. FWIW, .25/50 NL clears only a little slower due to the WSOP/WPT/TV trained players. It's not quite late tourney rates of all-in, but at the right table it sure looks like it - find your fold button and let them pay the rake while you nut peddle (and clear bonus).

Table selection is critical, if you hit a rock garden move.

Also, with Absolute you can get rakeback at the same time you clear the bonus. Make sure you do this.

This is very difficult at .50/1 depending on the time of day. In the Afternoon/Early evening there are usually only 3 full ring (well, 9-max at AP) going, so if you're 3-tabling and don't like your table you either have to play short-handed or move limits.

That said, I deposited $1000 last friday for the $500 bonus and so far I'm loving it (up 70BB in two sessions despite the extremely tight tables).

Unless you can't find a 6 max, why would you want to play a full ring at AP low limits?

It also helps being comfortable at several limits.

With rakeback and the "never ending" bonus, .50/1 limit and NL can be pretty good for the BR.

I have zero experience playing short-handed. Though I suppose bonus-clearing would be a good way to learn; you have the unlocking bonus as a cushion.
