Preflop: Hero is MP with A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], K[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img].
1 fold, Hero raises, 1 fold, SB calls, 1 fold.

Flop: (5 SB) 4[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], T[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (2 players)
SB checks, Hero bets, SB calls.

Turn: (3.50 BB) 9[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (2 players)
SB checks, Hero bets, SB calls.

River: (5.50 BB) 5[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (2 players)
SB bets, Hero raises, SB 3-bets, Hero calls.

Results in white below:

Do you have stats on the guy?

Typically I just call to action like that. There is the straight on the board and what that bet usually means is two pair. Could be a steal attempt, but if you two bet and it is a steal then he likely just folds and you gain nothing. whereas if it is legit then you get 3 bet and smoked. I think you just call down there.

Don't post results with your hands, and post this in the HUSH forum (NOT THE SMALL STAKES FORUM).

That said, this looks good with no reads - the river bet in an obvious check-raise situation screams crappy king or missed fluh draw.

If he makes that bet on the turn, I raise. On the river, though, I just call. Micro is where I'd post this, haha.

Just call the river. You are probably way ahead (in which case he probably folds) or way behind (you know what happens then).

I would just call here and do so knowing there is little chance my hand is good. The SB could be holding a range of hands that are playable in a 5 handed game. In addition to Q-J he could have K-10 or K-9. Even 10-9 is possible from a loose blind defender.

The fact that he called all bets and then comes out swinging on the river should tell you he has SOMETHING. Just call. At worst you lose one bet, at best you snap off a bluff.

You're right that he should just call the river. But there isn't any degree of being ahead or behind after the river card comes out. You either have the best hand or don't, and it's a lock either way. That's what makes bets after the river so profitable, as anyone that is behind has ZERO chance of catching up, ie. no equity in the hand. Thus any bets that go in are paying the best hand 100%. This also makes raising with a worse hand a disaster along with the fact that you'll lose two extra bets when he raises you and you call.
