Butchered JJ?

It was my first orbit at the table and this guy has only shown AA when I sat down. Seemed like a solid player.

I hated my line. Way to passive. Should I have capped PF? 3 Bet the flop? Raise the turn if he calls my 3bet?

Should I have called the river when the dreadful ace showed up?

cap preflop
cap the flop
bet/call a raise on the turn
check/call river. but im usually stubborn and bet/call a raise on this river.

Everyone looks solid with AA. [img]/images/graemlins/grin.gif[/img]

Cap PF. 3-bet the flop. If I get raised again, I'd check / call it down. Assuming that doesn't happen, bet the turn, and bet the river.

Very good point. This is something I need to work on. I often get locked into aggression mode unless someone plays back at me. Especially with overpairs.

JJ is not a PF capping hand. It's a 3-better.

3-bet the flop. If capped, call down. Otherwise, bet.

In some situations it is...but this is not one of them.
