Default Rambling thoughts about NASCAR

So, I don't watch this sport, but I think about it, and the sport bothers me.

I think they should all use the exact same car. I mean the exact same thing. They should be completely independant of their pit crews and all of the crews should be working towards creating the same car. Also, every pit stop should be mandatory for the same ammount of time. For like a minute or something. Why should you get penalized as a driver if a crew member drops a wheel and it goes rolling off down pit lane and costs you 5 seconds. Or the people you hire or are forced to work with are slow and [censored] at getting the jack out from under the car or filling you up with gas.

So basically, it would be a level playing field and instead of winning all the restrictor plate races because you have a sweet car, everyone else has just the same chance to win and its based on skill.

Thank you, and vote for me as president of NASCAR in 2008

The pit crews and car setups are an integral part of the competition. It's not just about driving.
