I'd have opened for around $120 and then re-raised to near $1000 pf.

Push on the flop.

Take your lumps and reload if he's got KK, the only feasible hand he's calling half his stack with PF.

P.S. I suck at poker.

interesting. your post started out irrelevant, then blatantly wrong, later got sucky but at the end increasingly perceptive. and all done in like 4 lines of text.

I feel like that's the best part of my post.

Then again, I don't play with stakes this high. Just thought I'd chip in something to let y'all tear apart.

i have nothing to comment upon in the actual hand, but one thing that caught my attention was from the 'read' based on this player.

Villian is 15/5 after hundereds of hands

hundreds? to me that just does not seem like nearly enough to be putting that much stock into the stats.

at how many hands are nl vpip/pfr stats converging to the point where you can actually make proper use of them?

i only ask, because i am sure many of you can look at random blocks of 500 hands of your own stats and see how widely it can vary.

can anyone provide some info in this area?

(I can't see which suits the flop are...)

I'd call - and then push allin on the river. Seriously, would Villain bet the flop if he would have hit a set of K's? Smells indeed to AK to me.

I find that 200 hands is usually enough to get a good estimate of preflop play. I rarely see a big difference between 200 and 2500 hands.

Wow that's pretty weak.

The only way you could have played this worse would have been to to call the turn and fold on an ace river.
