Pre-Flop: Villian limps, Hero raises, all others fold. Re: QJ Short-Handed
I bet this turn as the last money I put into the pot.

Re: QJ Short-Handed
I think you played this fine. I wouldn't bet the turn because I'd be scared that his loose passive self would call down with even King high here.

Re: QJ Short-Handed
I appreciate the comment. It's funny you said that. He had exactly K10o. Thank again.

Re: QJ Short-Handed
Sometimes I'd bet and sometimes I'd check. It's not an easy decision.
One problem is that Villain is going to have a 9 or an ace or a pocket pair a fair amount of the time. And, since he's unlikely to fold any of those hands, you're just charging yourself to draw when he holds them if you bet. (Also, it wouldn't be much fun to get checkraised, even though it would be easy enough to fold to a checkraise.) Then again, if Villain has J7o or 86s, then a bet is for value. And if I knew he had the actual KTo, I would bet again, unless I also knew he planned to show that hand down. |
