Default $22 - If you follow me let me see you put them hands up like a robbery

I frequently minbet dudes when they check to me and it's a highly profitable play but I've been feeling like I'm on the wrong end of it a lot recently so I've started raising with air in spots like this the odd time whenever it smells funny or they've done it to me before.

What do you guys think? I'm against fancy play at the 800-chippers but I think this kind of move may be a permanent part of my game now.

In both of these hands villains had previously open-completed and then minbet right away, so I did have a read to go with each move.

I like the 1st a lot more than the 2nd, as it's a lot less likely to have hit him I would have thought, and you have redraw outs if called, and you have greater FE.

Eh, I don't personally do those moves. You're risking a lot of chips with nothing. Just give it to them and rape the blinds. If it's checked I can understand a small bet, but they completed + bet the flop... I give it up without top pair/solid read.

I love pushing when they complete, but your moves here are very risky.

I prefer to do it when my hand has something going for it. I think a minraise get my spidey sense going more then a bigger raise but I suspect the players you try this against want to call, so I guess a bigger raise is warranted.

Yeah that's a good point the more I look at the second hand the more I don't like it. The ace is scary and the main thing is that it's 7-handed, which makes those chips I'm going out on a limb for a lot less valuable and I'll have more hands in between the blinds to find value.
