Fold. The chance you are drawing dead is enormous and you're clearly going to have to pay a lot to get there. You may also well be against a set and that severely cuts down your equity.

I'll elaborate.

If you're up against a set your outs effectively drop from like 9 to almost 6 or something like that. When we consider also a necessary discount for your weak flush draw, your outs drop even further. I think 5-6 outs is all we can really hope for, as we have no outs other than the flush, and facing 3 bets in a 17 bet pot I don't think we have the equity to continue, particularly as the price may go up on the turn.

I actually think we should cap the flop and reevaluate on the turn (the cap perhaps lessens the action on the next street from earlier bettors for fear of a raise. however slim this may be, we can expect to pay 4 sb anyway). If we do this, though, is anyone considering folding even if we do hit our flush and it's 3 or 4 to us on the turn?

I also don't think that folding is bad, but we are jeopardizing a potentially nice piece of equity in a big pot if the action dies on the turn.

Fold preflop.

Fold the flop. You're going to pay an assload to make a second best hand.
