Default 2001fp Screen Size problem

I just bought a 2001fp and I am unable to get it to fill the entire screen at 1600x1200 resolution. There is a couple inches of space on the left hand side. I try using the monitor options to re-size it but it does not work. Has anyone ran into this problem?

Are you able to change your resolution to that level and now you just have some dark space on the side, or you can't change your resolution to that at all? Assuming you were able to change it, did you try resizing the monitor with the actual buttons on the monitor? Usually the auto setting is very accurate.

I can put it at 1600x1200 and the auto resize does not put it to fit the entire screen.

Plus the dell online support sucks.

Can you use the manual adjustments to stretch and position the screen?

Probably a dumb question, but did you try manual resizing?

I can use them they just positioning but it does not move far enough. I am unsure where this streching feature is. I feel pretty retared, I can't find the stretch feature.

I don't own a 2001 FP, just a 1905 FP...but if I remember correctly, I hit the menu button...it brings up a menu and it either has H Size & V Size or has arrows pointing horizontally or vertically. Tool around with the menu, you'll find it.

Been there. Maybe it is my video card or something. I have to go to work now, so I guess I will mess around with it later.
