Default Horrible beat...

Casino Windsor, Canada.
I have pocket 7s.
Call the big blind (1/2 blinds)
BB raises 10.
I call, 2 others call.
Flop comes...3c, 7d, Ac...perfect flop, except for the flush draw.
BB bets 10.
I raise to 50.
1 call.
Next person goes all-in.
BB calls immediately.
I call.
Original caller folds.
I show my set, BB shows top pair A, 9, and all-in shows Ad, 3d for two pair.
All-in has one card to win the pot (since 3rd ace is in BB's hand), plus runner runner diamond for flush.
Turn...the 4th ace.
My 7s over As full house loses to all-in's As over 3s full house.
Pot of $400, I lose $140.
I cry.

As one newbie to another, this is probably not the kind of post you want to put up here. No one wants to hear bad beat stories. We all have a million of them. Also, I think 1-2 is considered small stakes (other forum).

But anyway, this isn't even really a bad beat. Sure you flopped a nice set of 7's. But you've got an all-in and a call in front of you. You have to figure you're up against top set, a flush draw or something interesting like that.

Better put your flame suit on...

Hands from today.....
I have 77 vs AJ. He raised preflop. I get him all in at turn A7KJ....I lose to a river ace

I have 99 and call raise...Flop KK9.. I lose to AK after getting him all in and the river is an ace.

I have 77 and call raise. Flop AQ7. He bets and I push all in..and its a huge overbet. He calls with AQ and hits an ace. This is all today and NOBODY CARES. Take it like a man and move on, dude.

Did you think the guy was going to call you there with 22 and have virtually no chance of winning the pot?

Jeese, you took a gamble with the best of it and lost. Move on do it again.
