Default What do you do while you wait for a game?

I have a problem. Whenever I'm on the waitlist for my poker game, I always resort to playing blackjack. This isn't because I'm a compulsive gambler, it's because I'm just bored and there is nothing else to do while I wait. At the place where I play there is usually only 1 or 2 tables going so I don't have the option of just jumping in another game to wait. Does anyone have any ideas? Blackjack is getting expensive.

If I have to wait longer then 5 minutes, I often just go to another poker room (about 50 B&M's near me).

In your case, I would bring a book or mag and find a nice chair to enjoy a good read until you get seated.

Best of Luck

I usually start reading but always seem to get into a conversation with someone. That's a great way to pass time and learn something.

Bring a book with you. Or your iPod.

Good point Tek. There are some fascinating & entertaining people in many of the card rooms and they come in all shapes and sizes.
