Default OT Crosspost: Winning dollars and spending pesos

I posed this question in the internet forum, but I know we have a few world travelers here.

There is a chance I may move to Mexico for a while and would like to enjoy life by taking advantage of the poor Mexican economy. How easy would it be for me to continue playing online there and then collecting my winnings? Anybody know?

shouldn't be a huge problem. plenty of american-based banks having branches in mexico, especially in mexico city, where just about every big bank has branches (i.e. citibank, bank of america, etc). you can get your neteller stuff wired to that account, and your bank should take care of any currency exchanges for a nominal fee (or none at all).

as long as you can get wicked high-speed internet, you should be fine

open an account with USAA bank... no foreign currency conversion fees, no charges for ATMs, reimburses up to $15/month of charges from other bank ATMs, etc... many more advantages... it's the best bank for expats that I know of.

you don't have to be military to use it-- any US citizen is permitted..

** edit: I would recommend Buenos Aires over Mexico though

Any where outside the reach of U.S. law enforcement.

Probably somewhere near Los Mochis, Sinaloa. I keep thinking about the thousands of people that die every year trying to cross from there to here, and wonder why I would consider going from here to there. I probably won't go, but it's a family thing if you catch my drift.

Yeah, tough town. I was there a long time ago and saw some mob beating a guy up because he had supposedly tried to molest a young girl.

On the plus side, there was Floura, the beautiful young girl who upon hearing that I was a Jew, said that she had never kissed one.
