Poker Tracker - data structure - hands
Hi All!
Just trying to figure out the data structure used by Poker Tracker, namely how to reconstruct a hand. I've found that tournament_game contains game_id which is a particular hand, and tournament_game_players for that game_id will give me MOST of the info, but doesn't seem to contain info like who re-raised when, etc. It does show who bet the flop, turn, etc, who won, button, blind positions, etc... Thanks! |

Re: Poker Tracker - data structure - hands
It contains all the actions, but not the sequence of actions. You'll have to parse the hand history yourself for that.

Re: Poker Tracker - data structure - hands
I would think that the DB has the info somewhere, because in poker tracker you can replay the hand and it pops up a window showing seats and cards and plays out the hand correctly, with more info than there seems to be in the two tables I mentioned... For example I picked a hand that had several re-raises and it played back properly in that screen... This data must be somewhere...

[/ QUOTE ] Previous poster is (still) right - you can't reconstruct hands from the db; it's not designed to allow for that since pt is essentially managing raw numbers for statistical purposes. There's a file in pt dir called "hhdb.mdb" which IIRC contains your hh; this must be how the pt replayer displays the hand as it was played... Mike |

Re: Poker Tracker - data structure - hands
Replayer uses the hand history and not the database.
You can post the question on the PT forums and Pat might give you some insight. |

Nothing you can't see by looking at the database yourself, but here is a link that gives the schema for all the tables:

Re: Poker Tracker - data structure - hands
You have their seat numbers and you know who had the button. You can reconstruct the sequence of events from that.
