Re: hottest subway station
[ QUOTE ]
[ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] Sunnyvale is not paradise. [/ QUOTE ] It sure beats living somewhere with a climate equivilent to someones arm pit (NY). [/ QUOTE ] Good point. Suburban mini-mall hell is better than New York. [/ QUOTE ] I thought we were talking about heat/weather. No biggy, you'd lose the 'lifestyle/available activities' debate as well. Don't forget to set your rat traps tonight before bed. [/ QUOTE ] Cute. No rats on the 21st floor. Also, if you're in the Bay Area, you're in like 8th to last place. At least Sunnyvale is better than Fremont. I guess. |

I wish you were right about NY though, that way maybe some of these damn east-coast transplants would leave. |

Re: hottest subway station
[ QUOTE ]
when the weather gets hot what station becomes most unbearable? 90% of the time i use the same few stations so i am not qualified to give an authoritative answer but the walkway to get to the ACE from the PATH at the WTC has been very hot of late. [/ QUOTE ] i'm sure this guy appreciates you guys hijacking his thread. The hottest of them all is the NQRW at 34th street. a good 20 degrees warmer than any other station in manhattan. its been cooler in the city this week, so they aren't nearly as hot. but last week was a different story... |

Re: hottest subway station
This reminds me of one time I was on the Q uptown and a huge fat guy got on at Canal. He was at least 6-2 and 320 pounds, dripping sweat, hair all matted and wet, and, of course, wearing running shorts, sneakers and no shirt and no socks. He sits down, takes his sneakers off and leisurely spreads his feet out. All the seats in the train were full.
