Default Do you support?

I am just trying to get an idea of how people in the politics forum feel about these issues. I know that the questions are simplified and I don't specify whether these should be legalized on the state or federal leve, but please answer them anyway. Thank you.

Feel free to chime in with your thoughts on any of these as well.

If you're not sure then don't vote. Post your reasons on why you're not sure.

hard to get meaningful results yourway. it's way more intresting someone responds to each question

prostitution: yes and i'm 100% confident
drugs: i said yes but i believe some restrictions are best, fewer than the ones we have now
abortion: i said yes and i'm lesss than 100% confident
death penalty: i said no and im' 100% confident.

Supporting legalized prostution and drugs? You dont see a problem in that? If something will degrade the society those two will.

I see a problem with it, but I see even greater problems with keeping that stuff criminalized.

The War on Drugs is an abject, abusive, expensive failure. Prohibition of alcohol didn't work, and neither is the War on Drugs working.

I remember talking to my grandmother and reading her autobiography -- she was born in 1890, and in her mid 20's she ran a rooming house in a small town in Wisconsin (Superior). She wrote about a section of the city where the prostitutes and addicts stayed, rather matter-of-fact to her. And this was a small town in Wisconsin. When was there a time when it didn't exist?

The real question has to be whether legalization/decriminalization will increase or encourage the behaviour -- and I can find no evidence for that.
