Any specific things to keep in mind when moving up to Party NL100?
After accululating sufficient bankroll, I've decided that I'm going to move up to NL100.
My plan is to play one-table at NL50 and another at NL100 for a while to adjust. From previous posts, I understand that the quality of the players is not very different (although I'll probably have to watch out a little more for fellow 2+2ers). Any other specific things I should keep in mind for my transition? |

No reason to have a 50NL open too. The game is very similar, with the only difference bieng it is slightly tighter.

There are a lot more bluffable opponents at the NL100 level, IMO. But you still have to be selective and bet the right scare cards. Pay attention closely to your opponents betting habits at NL100. For instance, many do not open up for standard raises, they change their raises based on the strength/weakness of their hand.
I'm not saying these things are exclusive to NL100, but since the game is a bit tighter than at lower stakes tables I think you need to pay very close attention to betting sizes/habits, raising standards, etc. Also, save yourself some money and don't get married to TPTK. That's a general NL rule, but at NL100 the sting will hurt your bankroll that much more when your AK flops an A but one of your opponents has a set. Good luck J. |

I think the 50 buy in game at party is tighter as well. When moving up, make sure you've got about 2-3K in your BR, and that you feel confident in your NL ability, and you should do pretty well at Party--assuming you don't get ran down all day

If anyone loses more than 1k at 100NL then they shouldn't be playing there. 2-3k is way too much, I'd be moving to the 200's with that roll.

If you want to play $200 NL you should move off party. The games there are so tight, people are shitting diamonds.
The Avr pots at $200 tables are only marginally bigger than then $100 tables. |
