Default QQ Hand

UTG is loose and somewhat aggressive. He is a complete donk though. He capped the flop with middle pair vs someone ealier in the session.

I was just reading a thread earlier where they were arguing about how to play a flopped set when there are possible draws out. What do you guys think?

None really. The argument in the other thread is to try to c/r to drive people out. But I always thought that when you have a set, you want to keep people in since your equity is so huge.

You will get anyone with the heart flush draw to come along for the entire ride. Someone who hits TP will also probably give you some action. Push push push!

your goal when you flop a set should basically be to pump the pot as much as you can. in general, when you flop a set, your equity is sky high, regardless of the existence of other draws. this and the fact that calling stations will willingly call multiple bets without proper odds makes playing sets on the flop pretty easy.

check raising will scare pairs of aces, and you'll probably only get two bets in on this flop. betting will allow someone with an ace to raise. checking also risks this flop getting checked through (admittedly only a small % of the time).

Yeah, thats what I thought.

Which is why I like to lead out my sets most of the time.

I only go for a cr when the pfr is on my left. Then I c/r to trap the field.

Looks great to me. Not pushing your edge on the flop is stupid. You have to expect that any [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] is going to own you. Push it if one doesn't land.
