Default Taking Stud8 Notes

Just questions:

- Do you do it regularly?
- Where do I begin?
- What are the easy things to notice?
- What are the important streets to focus on?
- Any general tips or advice?

I usually just write down how loose the person is on third street and their general level of aggression

I don’t ‘cause I’m lazy, but will attempt an answer to see how far off I am.

I think I’d begin with general stereotyping and Third street play (amount of aggression and starting requirements).

After Third street I think I’d focus on River play. What will they call down with versus bet/raise. Do they like to check-raise.

Next would be Fifth. How loose do they call a big bet and what they bet/raise with.

One (arguably) good thing about playing on Stars is that you can't shuffle your cards at showdown. As a result you get to see what kind of crap people play and chase with. One of my most common notes is whether or not people fold once they're in a hand. It makes it useful to try and bet them off their hand (or not) when you're showing 2 or 3 to a low hand but haven't made it yet.

I note how loose they are on third street, how likely they are to jam, if they're low whores, and if they'll call lots of bets with really bad lows and low draws.
