This is what's holding a lot of you guys back. You're getting pissed when you take a beat and not learning a lesson. Note that villain is a donkey and get him next time.

You should lead for closer to a PSB in hand 1. It gives you more options on the turn.

Berating horrible play/players is a good way for the poker boom to die out quicker. It's one thing to lose, semi-enjoy yourself and at least carry on the illusion that you might win some day. It's another thing to lose, be called an idiot over and over again, and leave poker and spend your discretionary income on slot machines and DVD's.

Here, here!

As much as you like to grab the fricken moron that called AI PF with JTs to crack your AA by the neck and beat some sense in to them, you have to just shut up and try to feel good about it; after all you want that call and do not want them or anyone else watching/listening to know any better.

I can't really speak for all the 25 and 50 NL players, but I don't think this is really the case for not being able to move up

I get the point and I agree with you 100%.
This is a good post and I've seen it happen tons of times.

Here's the way I think of it. Sometimes people get discouraged b/c they play solidly, yet lose 3 buy-ins to 3 DIFFERENT donks. HOWEVER on the flipside, follow each of those 3 donks indiviually and separately, and i'm sure they lose it all and then some at another table a distance away from the original hero.

It's all about long-term profit...

Be lucky that u had the chance to get him back, most of the fish i play against either lose my chips to other players before i get a crack at 'em, or they leave the table (the latter being the most likely option).
