I don't currently have a poker stars account so I was looking for suggestions as to how to get the maximum benefit from my first deposit (bonuses, etc.).

[/ QUOTE ]

I do not believe Stars offers sign up bonuses or other special benefits. The do offer periodic reload bonuses (which you can clear playing tournaments).

You might want to check in the Internet Bonuses forum to be sure though.

A couple of years ago, there was a discussion in the Zoo (Internet Forum) as to the advisability of saying "HI, aren't you from 2+2?" in the open on a table. The suggestion was that some recognition phrase be proposed, so that forum players could recognize each other without using the 2+2 name. Some wiseguy (I don't remember who) suggested: "Does the Brown Trout sleep in the closet?"

And it stuck.
