folded to Hero
Hero raises to $8
Button folds
Villian calls $7
BB folds

Flop: 3 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] T [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 2 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] [$10]
Villian bets $2
Hero calls $2

Turn: J [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] [$14]
Villian bets $2

Calling here is not a bad play because it is such a big call opposed to the previous acts by villian. The problem is that if he had the flush or a higher straight he would have bet more on the flop and turn. The $20 bet was obviously an overbet of the pot on his part and you should have reraised his bet for a sure fold.

I have to ask... if you fear calling $20 with the nut straight on the river... Why are you calling with K high and no draw on the flop and the turn? Just because the bets are minimum isn't a good reason to call just to call. Or... am I just missing something?

Min bets just strike me as fishy. I wasn't sure if he was trying to string me along after flopping a flush or if he was just scared of the flush draw. I had two overcards so that's the reason I was calling. For the minimum bet I don't think calling is a bad move. I wanted to see how he played the following rounds. Then when I got open ended on the turn, calling the turn minbet is a no brainer. The $20 bet on the river could mean a lot of things. I was just confused on this hand. I wasn't folding the river but I couldn't decide whether to call or raise.

Raise the river to 55 and fold to a reraise.

With the A of hearts I assume? This too me reaks of villian having a high heart flush draw, and trying to see the fourth heart for cheap so he has the NUTS! On the river he missed his draw so he tries to bluff himself out of it. I call easily. I don't re-raise, because then only a hand that beats you will call.

He must have forgot that he was holding pocket aces on the flop and turn.

He must have forgot that he was holding pocket aces pre-flop, on the flop and turn.
