Default Mid pair problem

PokerStars 2/4 Hold'em (5 handed) converter

Preflop: Hero is SB with J[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], Q[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img].
UTG calls, 1 fold, Button calls, Hero completes, BB checks.

Flop: (4 SB) 3[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], K[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], J[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (4 players)
Hero checks, BB bets, UTG calls, Button folds, Hero calls.

Turn: (3.50 BB) 2[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (3 players)
Hero checks, BB bets, UTG calls, Hero calls.

River: (6.50 BB) A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (3 players)
Hero checks, BB checks, UTG checks.

Final Pot: 6.50 BB

BB is a LAG and UTG is LP so I didnt know what to do. I didnt respect BB bets and UTG would call anything so im playing blind

I like leading this flop much better than check calling. Check raising is okay too but you said UTG would call anything. Mid pairs are tough to play against calling stations.

The way I treat these rightly or wrongly in small pots is that if I miss the lead then I check/fold. You have barely enough odds to call the bet even with implied odds given that a heart completes a flush and a queen the straight.

The hand you have put up is either a check/fold or bet/fold IMO.

If leading then also lead the turn unless a really bad card comes but still drop to any raise UI.
