Dids-Hop: For your enjoyment
I put this together for some folks in IRC, and have shared it with some other people as well, so I thought I'd share it here as well. It's not a mix, just a collection of mostly nerd-rap mp3s.
Enjoy! Download Hot Fire Here |

I use media player at work because the facists won't let me install winamp here. That's where the screenshot was taken.
Although- for the most part media player isn't nearly as bad as people tend to make it out to be. |

[/ QUOTE ] Except for the part where it hogs system resources, lags your computer down when it starts, and sends all your information to Microsoft - yeah I guess it really isn't too bad. Plus those visualizations are really cool! |

Re: Dids-Hop: For your enjoyment
Wow, this is far less nerdy than I'd expect it to be (as nerdy as it is anyway).
I think that you should move on from your obsession with "The F Word" though. That's yesterday's news. And Brother Ali has at least 10 songs that are better than those two you listed. |

Re: Dids-Hop: For your enjoyment
This wasn't put together just as a "best-of" but also looking at songs that would appeal to people without much of a background in hip-hop.
Those are two of my favorite Ali songs though. What would you say is better? |

[/ QUOTE ] Rain Water, Love On Display, Pay Them Back, Missing Teeth, etc. etc. I think its mostly that I think that "Forrest Whittaker" is just OK, and I don't really like "Victory" too much at all. From F Word: "Its like I care about you. I think about you all the time..." There's no room for this emo crap in hip-hop. |

Re: Dids-Hop: For your enjoyment
I like "When the Beat Comes In" better than "Victory."
This is a good idea though, it would be even cooler in a mixtape format where you numbered the tracks and zipped them so we have an order to listen to them in. |
