It's a required component for listening to the radio, which seems to be so popular with the kids these days. It's some pretty cool technology.

Yeah, I've got an mp3 player for a reason - so I don't have to listen to the radio.

I actually would prefer an am tuner for ESPN radio. Yes, I am a loser.

I have XM and the only thing i use it for is ESPN radio

Another question: anyone make one of these that also receives AM radio? (My wife wants an iPod, but wants it to pick up AM so she can listen to ball games.)
