Default KQo UTG - not sure how i shouldve played this turn/river

Im dealt KQo UTG. no good reads as the villian just sat down.

Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em, $ BB (6 max, 6 handed) FTR converter on zerodivide.cx

Button ($66.52)
SB ($44)
BB ($41.15)
Hero ($50)
MP ($68.19)
CO ($124.33)

Preflop: Hero is UTG with K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], Q[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]. SB posts a blind of $0.25.
Hero raises to $2, 2 folds, Button calls $2, SB (poster) calls $1.75, 1 fold.

Flop: ($6.50) 8[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 5[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 2[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (3 players)
SB checks, Hero checks, Button checks.

Turn: ($6.50) Q[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (3 players)
SB bets $2, Hero raises to $8, Button folds, SB calls $6.

River: ($22.50) 6[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (2 players)
SB checks, HERO???

i know some people will blast tme for checking the flop, but i had made several contiuation bets previously that went uncalled, and i didnt want to become predictable... especially not OOP with a hand that was losing to Ace high.

so what do you think oabout the turn? raise ok? hsould it be bigger? or jsut call?

and what about the blank on the river? doe my bet look out of line?

turn raise is fine, definitely bet river for $12-15 (fold to raise)

People thinking you are predictable is a good thing, it gets you paid off later on. That said, checking behind sometimes is OK if you prefer another image. I'd bet ~15 on the river and possibly fold to a raise.

for some reason i was afraid of being rasied by AQ here and really just wanted to check behind. but i told myself "self, thats too damn weak!" so i did something just a tiny bit less weak and bet only $10, hoping a small/mid pair would call me. donkish huh?

villian calls...

...and flips over A [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]A [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]!?!?!
MHING

these guys never cease to amaze me

I would take the free showdown. Turn is fine.
