Differences between Dell lcd tv and monitor is????
I have a 2001fp, and am getting either a 2405fp or a 26" lcd TV from Dell for my second monitor. Can someone please outline the pros and cons of both?

I don't think the tv's support 1600x1200 resolution.

The TV is probably alot less sophisticated. If you're going to use it as a monitor, get a monitor. If you're going to use it as a TV, get the TV.

Resolution is the key. TVs don't have much compared to computer monitors.

Re: Differences between Dell lcd tv and monitor is????
From looking at the site, the monitor has DVI, d-sub, composite, s-video and component inputs so you can hook it up to a VCR or cable box and get TV on it if you want. The TV will have a built in TV tuner, more things to go wrong, , lower resolution 1280x768 and a response time of 25ms, more than twice the 2405. The only thing the TV has over the monitor is it is HDTV ready. It is not a High Def receiver, it just has the inputs for it. If I had my choice I would go with the monitor and an external tv tuner (cable box/tv tuner/tv & capture card). It will be more versital and much better image when viewing things like DVD's and the like.
