Default Anyone use the ePassport Visa Electron?

I made a re-load deposit onto Party using ePassport's Virtual Visa & then withdrew these $ back onto the Virtual Visa card.

Now that I have some $ in an ePassport account, I was thinking of getting a getting a Visa Electron (the physical ATM/Debit card), since this might be a good way of funding any poker-related spending & having cash available when I go to a B&M casino. I could periodically siphon off Party $s onto the card whenever I was planning a trip to Vegas, etc.

Anyone else done this or used the Visa Electron (the actual physical card version of Virtual Visa)? (No real hits on a 2+2 search)

Thanks,
J

I looked into this awhile ago, my understanding was that the electron card is only accepted at "select" retailers (and by that I mean NOWHERE). Not sure about ATM's.

Would you be able to explain how the virtual visa works? I made a post a few months ago but never got any good responses. It's just a virtual visa card right? So for example I could cash out $100 out of party to ePassporte and then take my virtual visa to amazon (or wherever) and buy $100 worth of books?

I know there was a loading fee when you first got the card (why I never signed up) but do you also have to pay loading fees when you cash out of Party or is that absorbed by Party like neteller fees?

Thanks,
J

You need Plus sign at ATM. $2 per transaction fee from bank where ePass stores account (bank ATM-owner usually has no additional fee). Initial withdrawal limits differ per card holder's country of residence (I think) but increase request is possible.

Yes.

Your ePass account (with virtual VISA or both virtual and electron cards connected) has "load" card of your actual local bank. Everytime you "load" money to ePassport from that card you pay 5%. You're not obliged to make any load, except first time during ePass account registering.

Party pays both - in and out fees.

Soleo beat me to it.

The only things I can add is that might be unclear is that the "Virtual Visa" card is literally just a 16-digit Visa number with the 3-digit security "CVV" code that some merchants require.

Regarding the fees, I did pay 5% to initially load the card, but Party does offer a 10% bonus the first time you use FPS/ePassport, so I actually got a $25 bonus out of it.

I think I may just invest the $35 in getting the Electron card to withdraw cash at ATMs, despite being disappointed that it seems it's not accepted many places like a regular Visa (from your link, thanks for the info). I'll post how well it works as an ATM card if I do get one.
